Marble is limestone that has been transformed over thousands of years by heat and pressure building up in the earth’s core causing crystal collisions. The presence of foreign substances and chemicals causes streaks, clouds, and patterns in the marble creating its amazing individuality. Its texture, spectrum of colours, shape, and light can produce an amazing work of art
Granite is a coarse-grained igneous rock that is formed from molten magma which is cooled slowly over thousands of years. It’s made up consists of granite, feldspar, and mica. The variation in each slab, and especially the grain and movement in the crystal structure are part of the charm of buying a natural stone
Quartz in its original state is crystallized silicone dioxide, combined with numerous polymers and dashes of pigments. These are the key components in producing engineered worktops. Special effects can be achieved with colored dyes and reflective mirror flecks
Onyx is the parallel-banded variety of chalcedony, an oxide mineral. Specimens of onyx commonly contain bands of black and/or white. Renowned for its translucent properties, which create a captivating visual effect when backlit. With its unique color patterns and veining, onyx marble becomes a statement piece, exuding luxury and sophistication
Travertine is a sedimentary rock formed by the chemical precipitation of calcium carbonate minerals from fresh water, typically in springs, rivers, and lakes, that is, from surface and groundwater. It is an elegant natural stone that has been used as a building material for centuries for countertops, flooring, and in many other places surely a great way to make a statement in your house.
Limestone is a sedimentary rock mainly composed of calcite. Limestone is formed through precipitation in warm, shallow seas and can often contain marine fossils. We purchase only the finest limestone, quality-checking each slab as they arrive in the yard
Sandstone, a sedimentary rock, is formed when grains of sand are compacted and cemented together over thousands or millions of years. The sand grains often are composed of the minerals quartz or feldspar that were worn off other rocks and ground down into pebbles. From feature walls to pavements, there are so many wide uses for Sandstone
Slate is derived from fine-grained sediments such as mud or occasionally volcanic ash laid down millions of years ago in layers known as bedding. Slate is a natural, aesthetically pleasing stone. Its strength and outstanding resilience make it one of the most durable and versatile roofing materials

Flamed Finish
A flamed finish is a thermal finish in hard natural stones that is rough and has no shine. In this technique of flaming the stone – a high-intensity flame is applied to the natural stone such that the surface burns and all the crystals are visible. Some stones might go through a colour change due to the flaming process, in such instances, the stone is blasted using a water jet. It finds its application indoors and outdoors, especially in areas that wet and are prone to water. It is extensively used in swimming pool decks, patios, and outdoor landscape pathways.

Water Jet Finish
The waterjet (or “hydro”) finish is created by focusing an extremely high-pressure jet of water across the face of the stone. This erodes the surface, breaking crystals and opening the pores of the stone. The resulting texture is similar to a flamed finish, although not as dramatic and less destructive to the stone. The waterjet finish is not successful on stones other than granite. Water Jet Finished is the most popular choice for exterior paving, cladding, wall caps, and water features.

Honed finish granite counters are used in kitchens to give a very antique look to the kitchen. In this case, the granite is polished before buffing hence it does not give a mirror finish reflective look like polished granite. The honed finish is anti-slip hence it finds its use in outdoor areas, staircases, passages, etc.
